Yebo! Contemporary Art Gallery (in partnership with One Billion Rising and Divine Artists) invites new, emerging and professional artists to apply to participate in their next exhibition – “Umzabalazo: Feminism & Climate Action“.
This exhibition is a call for solutions and active hope, giving artists the opportunity to tackle a variety of issues related to climate action and feminism through their work (photography, painting, mixed media, film, poetry, sculpture, etc.)
If you would like to participate in the show please apply online HERE before the 20th of June 2022. You can also email them directly at yeboartgallery@gmail.com for more info if needed. All applications will be reviewed in June with final decisions in early July.
Yebo Gallery has curated a number of shows to do with environmental or climate themes in the past, such as The Burning Question, Creatively Green and LifeCycle, stating that, “Our vision is to continue growing the creative sector of Eswatini whilst using the arts as a vehicle for positive social change. Art can be a powerful tool for addressing some of the most pressing social and environmental issues of our time whilst also fostering public engagement, innovation and creative freedom of expression“.
