Eswatini is in the preliminary planning stages for coal-fuelled Thermal Power Station in Lubhuku (Mpaka) – a project has been on the cards for years, and one of the solutions proposed in the Eswatini Energy Masterplan 2034.
ECCo co-founder Dane Armstrong recently took part in a live online discussion about the project on the Connect, a program hosted by The Pacific Institute Swaziland. The full discussion is available for viewing below, featuring a well-rounded discussion and debate about the potential benefits and significant threats of such a project.
